During my television training years, we learned many lighting techniques, including the use of “God’s hour” — that period before sunset when golden light floods the earth with a captivating glow. The film industry frequently takes advantage of this time frame to shoot scenes that otherwise are more difficult to reproduce with artificial lights.
As we careen toward the end of this era, the nightfall of our times, we have entered into what I call “Satan’s Golden Hour.” It is the hour of false light, false information, false peace, false security. This light of lies is seen reflected, 
literally, in all our faces as we gaze into our computer screens and devices. But now we have entered that hour when Satan’s false light is most captivating and enticing, most alluring and tempting, but also most deceptive and destructive. Jesus prophesied this hour 2000 years ago by describing the character of Satan — and those who follow him:
You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)
The devil is far more intelligent than any human being; he has studied mankind for millennia. Little by little, over the course of the past 4-5 centuries in particular, he has lured humanity from a firm belief in God into a practical atheism whereby man himself has become the center of the universe.
Even today, there are many settings in which the Christian faith is considered absurd, meant for the weak and unintelligent. Settings where other securities are preferred, like technology, money, success, power, or pleasure… A lack of faith is often tragically accompanied by the loss of meaning in life, the neglect of mercy, appalling violations of human dignity, the crisis of the family and so many other wounds that afflict our society. —POPE LEO XIV, Homily, May 9, 2025, Rome, Italy; CNA
As such, the devil knows two things: this is his moment — and his time is short. So, just as the world is being flooded literally with the false light of LED streetlamps, bulbs, and screens that mimic the inimitable warm light of a candle, fire, or even incandescent bulbs — so too, Satan the father of lies is boldly flooding the world with outright falsehoods and lies that seemingly mimic the good. Here’s but a few of the most glaring examples in this emerging hour of satanic light:
Satan’s Golden Hour
I. Artificial Intelligence
In one of his first speeches, Pope Leo XIV zoned in on “developments in the field of artificial intelligence that pose new challenges for the defense of human dignity, justice and labor.”[1]May 10, 2025, apnews.com It didn’t take long for the pontiff himself to become “Exhibit A” as social media was flooded with “deep-fake” videos that mimicked the pope’s voice and even mouth. I recently heard a video of my own which, using my actual voice, had me speaking in perfect Spanish. Indeed, the rubicon between reality and fiction has been definitively crossed.

The dangers of this being used to imitate real persons are beyond imagining and will no doubt be used, and already have been, in the most nefarious ways. Not only what we are seeing and hearing now but what we are reading is the cold-calculation of algorithms and taught behavior built into AI programming. It’s not simply a random world of information but rather a carefully crafted narrative intended to manipulate you. It’s called “5th generation warfare” unlike the warfare of conventional weapons.
But there is a spiritual element. Transhumanist, Elon Musk, referred to artificial intelligence as an attempt to build a “digital god”[2]cointelegraph.com and even “summoning the demon.”[3]cnet.com He’s not far off, according to the Vatican’s recent document Antiqua et Nova (“Ancient and New”):
…the presumption of substituting God for an artifact of human making is idolatry, a practice Scripture explicitly warns against (e.g., Ex. 20:4; 32:1-5; 34:17). Moreover, AI may prove even more seductive than traditional idols for, unlike idols that “have mouths but do not speak; eyes, but do not see; ears, but do not hear” (Ps. 115:5-6), AI can “speak,” or at least gives the illusion of doing so (cf. Rev. 13:15). —nos. 104-105
The scriptural reference to Rev 13:15 included in the Vatican document is not insignificant; it speaks of the coming Antichrist and a false prophet who…
…was then permitted to breathe life into the beast’s image, so that the beast’s image could speak and could have anyone who did not worship it put to death. (Revelation 13:15)
II. Globalist Disinformation
As Jesus warned, there are those who “willingly carry out” their father, the devil’s, lies.
…they follow him that are of his side… (Wis 2:24-25; Douay-Rheims)
Today, the greatest purveyors of “misinformation” and “disinformation” are those who claim they will save us from it. They use terms like “save the planet” or “for the common good” to do the very opposite thing. They are ultimately the globalists or elitists who are attempting and planning to shut down every dissenting voice against their agenda of the “Great Reset.”
This became evident to many of us during COVID-19 when we heard repeatedly, day after day, that the mRNA injections were “safe and effective” when, in fact, they were still in trials. Addressing a Senate hearing on May 27, 2025,[4]economictimes.indiatimes.com Dr. Peter McCullough, MD, reaffirmed a Lancet study revealing that “COVID vaccines caused 74% deaths” within an average two weeks of injection in the autopsies that were conducted. The usual “fact-checkers” and outright denial in the media ensued. But the plague of “sudden deaths” and the government’s own data reveal the truth.[5]cf. What Have You Done? the late French Nobel laureate, Dr. Luc Montagnier, MD,[8]cf. Grave Warnings – Part III Dr. Mike Yeadon, former VP of Pfizer,[9]cf. Hidden in Plain Sight Dr. Igor Shepherd[10]cf. The Caduceus Key and others have warned that the worst may be yet to come. And yet, the wall of silence from the mainstream media and even continued advocacy to “get your boosters” continues. This is what evil looks like when it wears a mask of “goodness.”
The other lever of power being wielded by our global handlers is “climate change.” Anyone who challenges the narrative — no matter how qualified or accredited — is deemed a danger who is subverting science and endangering “billions of people.” One of the world’s leading propagandists is the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, who promises to take care of all this nasty disinformation:
In other words, the UN, World Health Organization, and other unelected global bodies have every intention to criminalize anyone who exposes their agenda and unscientific crusade.
III. The Agenda
I cannot recommend enough the following documentary that outlines the major lies being perpetrated right now full-on against humanity. From the need for a “digital currency”, the promotion of gender ideology, to the “green agenda”, to the World Economic Forum’s promise that “you’ll own nothing and be happy”… this is perhaps the best summary yet of the coming Spectre of Global Communism. If you cannot watch the full documentary, the first thirteen and a half minutes summarize what we see coming at us like a freight train from hell itself.
IV. “Education”
All of the above has been in play, hidden from the general public to a degree, in the school systems. It is there where a radical agenda has been unfolding for decades. In my article The Fall of Mystery Babylon about the collapse of America and the West, I quoted former FBI agent, Cleon Skousen, who revealed in astonishing detail forty-five Communist goals in 1958. Among them:
#25 Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
#26 Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
#17 Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
#31 Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history… —from The Naked Communist
Thus, warned Pius XI…
…the Communist ideal wins over many of the better minded members of the community. These in turn become the apostles of the movement among the younger intelligentsia who are still too immature to recognize the intrinsic errors of the system. —POPE PIUS XI, Divini Redemptoris, n. 15
As we watch mindless youth trash their cities and chant Marxist slogans (particularly in the United States — though Greta Thunberg has her international acolytes), it’s clear the brainwashing has been wildly successful. Make no mistake, this is a revolutionary spirit that is not of God. All of this, in my opinion, has simply been a long preparation to finally form a generation who would willingly follow an Antichrist (see The Great Vacuum).
When Twilight Falls
Jesus not only called Satan the “father of lies” but a “murderer from the beginning.” Many of us have concluded, as does the documentary above, that depopulation is one of the central goals of the globalist messianic agenda. May I quote again one of the most insightful intellects of our times:
It is in the nature of secular messianists to believe that if mankind will not cooperate, then mankind must be forced to cooperate—for its own good, of course… The new messianists, in seeking to transform mankind into a collective being disconnected from his Creator, will unknowingly bring about the destruction of the greater portion of mankind. They will unleash unprecedented horrors: famines, plagues, wars, and ultimately Divine Justice. In the beginning they will use coercion to further reduce population, and then if that fails they will use force. —Michael D. O’Brien, Globalization and the New World Order, March 17th, 2009
It is precisely this attack on all of creation that triggers what Scripture calls “the day of the Lord“, which St. Paul notes is preceded by Satan’s Golden Hour of lies:
For you yourselves know well that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3; cf. The Labor Pains: Depopulation?)
Yes, one thing about the golden hour before sunset is that it can very suddenly dissipate within minutes as the sun falls behind the horizon. The moment when twilight falls is going to be the most difficult in the history of humanity. As Our Lord himself said:
For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will be. (Matthew 24:21)
This is why God has given us over a century to prepare since the moment Pope Leo XIII invoked the Church to pray for St. Michael the Archangel’s intervention. It’s why God “prolonged the time of mercy” in order to give as many generations as possible to return to Him. It’s why Our Lady has been tasked to appear to her children, particularly since Fatima, to warn of the rise of this beast: the return of Communism; it’s why her and Our Lord’s icons, statues, and images have been weeping all over the world, sometimes with blood. Do you understand the seriousness of this hour?
It’s also, I surmise, why the Lord has asked me to set aside the past 20 years to write and speak of these times and prepare the handful of you who come to the The Now Word. The spectacle of Satan’s Golden Hour of false light, of unrestrained lies, means that we must prepare for the fall of twilight and the brief but tempestuous night to come — The Great Storm.
But you, brothers, are not in darkness, for that day to overtake you like a thief. For all of you are children of the light and children of the day. We are not of the night or of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us stay alert and sober. (1 Thessalonians 5:4-6)
And yet, this sobriety is not a call to a bunker mentality or spiritual glumness, as difficult as these realities are. Rather, as Pope Leo XIV said in his first homily to the Church:
This is the world that has been entrusted to us, a world in which, as Pope Francis taught us so many times, we are called to bear witness to our joyful faith in Jesus the Savior. —May 9, 2025, Catholic News Agency
Through fasting, prayer, and our witness, we are, in fact, hastening the coming Triumph of the Immaculate Heart and a period of peace[11]cf. Enough Good Souls — the Kingdom of the Divine Will, [12]cf. The Promised Kingdom which constitutes the “Day of the Lord” after this night is over.
